Journalistic “boot camp” is probably the best way to describe this course. It represents the type of the journalism that is focused on the people from neighbourhood, small villages and residential districts of the big villages. All the materials are about the problems surrounding the readers and offering them solutions for the day-to day life in their system. In the United States of America, 7% of the publications are considered community. Their total circulation exceeds three times the total one of the national publications.

In the Republic of Moldova, the community journalism is just at the beginning. Now, there are newspapers in more places. The Course will familiarize the young journalist with the characteristics of the activity at a community newspaper and defining elements of the community journalism. During classes, the students will have time to discuss with ordinary people in a certain place, to find out more about their life reflect better these a local newspaper for that community.
