The Independent Journalism Center in cooperation with Missouri School of Journalism (USA) and Center of Professional Journalists Training (Paris, France) announces the opening of the application process for postgraduate studies at the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism for the 2009-2010 school year.
The School of Advanced Journalism is based on an advanced postgraduate curriculum for journalists according to international standards practiced in Europe and USA.
The admission for 2009-2010 is open to persons with a higher education degree in various fields of study (social sciences, technical sciences, arts, medicine and others). Courses are offered for a tuition fee (sponsorships from media, nongovernmental, commercial and state institutions are accepted). The best students will be encouraged by offering scholarships and tuition fee reduction.
Well-known journalists from Moldova and professionals from abroad are teaching the courses. The School has professional equipment for courses in TV, radio and photo journalism, and other necessary materials for acquiring practical skills in journalism.
The length of studies is ten month, and here are some of the courses taught: News writing, Radio Journalism, TV-Journalism, Media Law, Ethics, On-line journalism, Investigative reporting, Economic and business reporting, Photojournalism, Media management, and others. It is signed by the Independent Journalism Center, the Missouri School of Journalism (USA) and Center for Professional Training of Journalists (Paris, France).
