The forth academic year started at the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism. During 10 months seventeen students will study in a editing- room style the standards and practices of western journalism and its applications in the Republic of Moldova.
The most of the students have their background in economics (5 persons) and philology (4 persons). Unlike the previous years only one student graduated from the faculty of journalism. The others students have background in arts, law, management, political science, medicine and history. Three students are male and 13 are female. The average age is 24 years old.
The opening ceremony of the new academic year was held in the presence of trainers from the School. In the first day there has been organized a meeting between new students and graduates of the school from the previous three academic years. The School’s graduates told about their experience as students and journalists and advised new students how to manage possible problems during their studies and in job-seeking process.
The Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism was launched in September 2006 with the purpose of training journalists for all types of mass media from the Republic of Moldova. The School is a project implemented in partnership with Independent Journalism Center, Missouri School of Journalism School from USA, The Center for Professional Training of Journalists from Paris, France.
