Class 2008-2009
Class 2008/2009 of the School of Advanced Journalism (SAJ) was composed of 17 students (13 girls and 4 boys). From September 2008 to June 2009, the students studied in a newsroom environment the standards and practices of western journalism and how it can be applied by Moldovan media outlets.
During that study year, new courses were introduced, including: Science and Environmental Journalism, Editing standards. Students’ academic background was very diverse (engineering, economics, law, psychology, maths et.) Five of the students enrolled in the 2008/2009 study year had studied journalism or communications before, and four used to work or continued working during the studies at national media outlets.
