Description: 

The democratic process in the Republic of Moldova is inseparably linked to the respect of freedom of expression, which is presented in the most eloquent way by the mass – media activity (newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, on-line publications, etc.).

The goal of the Course Media Law is to teach students the fundamental aspects of the legislation and best practices of the media activity: access to information; freedom of expression; defamation (offence of honor, dignity and professional reputation); information security of the society and person; state policy and competencies of the public law authorities regarding the media; founding, reorganization and liquidation of media agencies; legal regulations of advertising, legal aspects of election campaign coverage; self-regulation of media, etc.
