Media Management



The Course represents an introduction in the creation and successful administration of a business in media field. The course has the aim to familiarize the students with the operational standards and presentation of the information that needs to pass through a creation process with more stages and to respect strict deadlines. The students will learn “where the money comes from”, how the media organizations can survive in a market economy. Journalists need to know how media businesses work, especially in conditions of a lasting transition. This is a permanent process (as media is periodical) and is improved on a daily basis.

The Course will familiarize the students with the initiation principles of a media business that has to create good articles, but also to be as much as attractive as possible. How to produce a newspaper, printing and distribution, working with advertising and building a team to create a newspaper, working with your readers and measure your impact are all topics covered in the Media Management course. Ideally, this knowledge will serve as a basis for future carriers of our journalism students. All this knowledge will be tested during the discussions with media directors that succeeded to develop successful media business in Moldova.
