Radio Journalism

Description:

The Course aims to explore the radio journalism offering to students as many as possible direct inside knowledge about this media genre. The radio is not the media of high technology equipments or complicated production. The radio journalism looks to explain the world in a way that extends the knowledge of the people and helps them understand the world they live in.

For this, it is required to have a very curious spirit and the ability to reveal the truth. If all these elements exist, then the Course will be a successful one as it will teach the students how to write easily and clearly for the audience.  After that, the working techniques will be studied: the work with the technique and sounds so the message would be more colorful and better understood by the audience. If they succeed, the students will learn to listen “professionally” the radio, because to work at the radio, first of al, you have to be a good radio listener.

All the material is structured on topics, beginning with the way of treating the information in radio messages, from news to interview and from reportage and feature with their own forms of treating the information. The programme has lessons on news selection and putting together radio news. Many practical exercises will clear up any difficulties and lapses, offering clarity to the theoretical information that may look, at the beginning, complicated and difficult to understand.
